We started fishing about 7:30 am and caught to keepers in the first 10 minutes.We were down at about 70 feet.My son caught his first at that depth.We also had a top pole going and that is were I caught my first.We caught 4 off the top and the other twelve down between 40 to 70 feet down.We threw back alot due to the size limits but it was a blast catching them.We both did leave with our limits and made a great dinner for our girls.The largest we caught was between 5 and six pounds and we let that one go.I highly recomend George at Cutthroat Charters which is out of Pyramid Lake Store.We had a great time and was well worth it.George if you read this thanks again,see ya next time.

Hi Wes, I went fishing with some fellow fish sniffer's from ca went to Hell's Kitchen caught a beautiful 28 inch 9lbs 1.6oz with a M-15 frog pattern in 10 feet of water. Then the weather started to turn nasty and it was pretty ruff all the way back in to the dock. On 12/02/04 Les from the sniffer caught a beautiful 11lbs 11oz same lure right by the docks

We arived at the nets at about 2:30 and started throwing chub colored torpedos and caught five or six right away. After a bit we decided to try our luck with flys. It was slow but produced bigger fish than the lures did. All in all it was a good afternoon. Between the two of us we caught close to 30 fish in 4 hours.

Hi Wes, Wow opening day was full of people I got there at 6am there had to be at lease 35 people already everyone around me was catching fish some guys 20-30 each nice big ones. I caught 4 nice ones sat I was there at 4am didn't catch a fish until 4pm Sun went out at 3pm caught a kwee-wee at 6pm I'm hoping next week end will be better. Hi Wes, Welcome back I hate this time of year fishing is hard from shore block house is dead went fishing in the boat today caught 3 but hey its always a good day when you catch something the winds were pretty bad around 5pm so we started for the dock. HI WES, REALLY ENJOY THE WEBSITE !!! FISHED WALKER LAKE WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF "FATHER FLANAGAN". STARTED AT SAND POINT ON HE EAST SIDE,GOT BLOWN OFF THE BEACH...MOVED TO THE POINT 3 MILES NORTH OF SPORTSMANS, SET A BAIT ROD AND COOKED ELK STEAKS...YUMMY...HAD ONE HOOK UP, AFTER THE SHADOW HIT THE WATER..ABOUT 3:30 WE THREW GREEN SPOONS FROM THE BANK AND THE FISH WERE HUNGRY !!!! WE CAUGHT 13 FISH IN 40 MINUTES !!! TURNED A SO-SO DAY IN TO A GREAT ONE !!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE LAKE !! RR

We didnt get there until about 10 am. We were going to block house but it was busier than on the weekends so we moved down a bit and caught one (18") on a purple fly......gave up there and went to the cattle guard and caught 3 that were all 18" (+/-), a couple on a green and white fly and another on the purple again. Unfortunately 2 were females that were full of eggs but I havnet learned how to tell the difference yet otherwise I would have released the females....:( We left for home about 2pm but the day turned out to be very nice. A note to Beth.......Hope the eye is ok and I have a fly to replace the one I lost........see ya

Kiddster and I caught well over 40 fish all together in 2 days at Pyramid. Walker is a joke! Crosby Lodge is great. We were casting lures from shore at many locations and caught and released fish up to 26 inches. Bring your thermals! NO BAIT HERE POWER BAIT LOSERS.The Lahontans here are big and beautiful. Kiddster saw a couple of fish on Sunday follow his lure that were easily 10 pounds. We'll get em next time.We miss georgie and that big dumper. SEE ya ,SKAGIT MAN PS: Thearon is a whimp !!!!

This season I started fishing in early Nov. Usually I get started in Oct. On my first two trips out the lake I caught a total of 18 fish. The best ones were in the 18 to 21 inch variety. On the third trip out, I arrived at the lake at 8:10 am (late for me) and had only caught two fish by 9:15. At 9:30 I hooked what appeared to be a decent fish, but at first I didn't think he was a prize until he started taking line. He took off and I had all I could do to slow him down.After a 20 minute fight he surfaced and I was very pleased with what I saw. He weighed in at 12# 2oz. He was 30in. long with a girth of 18in. Since I caught that fish, I've been out to the lake 6 more times and have caught fish every trip. I'd say at least 30-40 fish with the best one being an 8 pounder caught on Dec. 14.I use a variety of lures, mostly Blue Fox Tor p Dos in the folowing patterns: frog, green, and black. The best lures are in the Tui chub patern.

Anticipating the wheather fouling work for me on Thurs. (12/11) I threw waders and rods in the Jeep. By 9:30 we shut down work out pyramid hwy and I jumped in behind the snow plow heading for Blockhouse. The usual 21 min. trip from my jobsite(yes, I've timed it) took an hour in the snow. The reward was empty beaches and great, magic mixes of clouds and sun across Anahoe Island. Waded out and threw the usual guilty suspects and finally caught one 18+" on 1/2 oz. white spoon w/ brown trout markings. Two more hit the same spoon and were released....both just over 19". Get this....zoning out and watching the water I kept seeing some slashing at the surface 10-15 ft beyond casting range. I finally realized it was'nt the loon hanging out but a G.D. big fish when he porpoised sideways to me completly out of the water. Even at that distance he had to be over 10#'s. Heart pounding, I could only get the spoon w/ in 20 ft of where this guy was playing around. Waded bask in to change to a heavier lure and when I got back out to the same spot the hog had gone off to torment someone else. Nice to see a big guy in realtime like that......the pc's on the wall in Crosby's did'nt make my heart pound like that did. Sunday before Turkey day Kel and I took the skiff out from Popcorn......She had caught 5-6 fish and myself 2 when I started marking them on our GPS. After 7 hours I had 51 fish on the GPS....All between popcorn and blockhouse on top in 80-100 ft of water. Kel trolling spoons (red w/ blk dots) and I trashed the paint on a little blue shad rap diver I kept on for most of the day. We'd get reports of guys having 50 fish days out there and used to look at each other and mumble "yeah right, what are they smokin"....Now we belive.

Mark Welker and I (Jude Mayne) of Reno had a smokin' good time on Tue. taking many fish on the fly and lure. The weather couldn't get much worse and the chop really started pumping in. But that didn't stop us! We were having to much fun landing fish after fish. No trophies, but the numbers were there. Rain or shine, Pyramid Lake is always fine.
